16U Baseball – It is highly recommended that all DHS Baseball players compete in the DYBSA summer baseball program as an opportunity to improve their skills at age appropriate levels of competition.  Evaluations at this age are held during the Delano High School baseball season and announced by the DHS coaches midway through the season. Boys that do not participate in school ball are strongly encouraged to attend evaluations, please contact the DYBSA to schedule this.

All teams are considered competitive teams at this level of play.  All teams at the 16U level offer a higher level of competition and time commitment for players and families.  No additional fees are assessed to players of these teams; tournament fees, league fees and uniforms are included with your registration fee.

16U VFW - Top team at this level, combined 9th and 10th graders.

16U Team Season: Mid/Late-May thru July** Minimum of 2 weekly games plus 2-3 weekend tournaments per team.  League games will not begin until school ball season is over.

NOTE FROM DHS BASEBALL: If a player is assigned to the varsity school team, they may have an opportunity to play for the Delano Legion team as well.  This team will NOT register thru DYBSA.  Please contact Jeff Olson thru Delano Schools for more information about Delano Legion Baseball.
