In the Delano Youth Baseball and Softball Association, tee ball is an introduction to baseball and softball for boys and girls aged 4-6. For their safety, the child must be four on May 1 to be eligible to play.
The goal of the tee ball program is to start teaching participants the basic fundamentals of baseball and softball, such as where to be on the field, how to swing the bat, and how to throw and field.
If you feel your child can perform all of these fundamentals at an above-average level but is still in this age range, you can inquire about Coach Pitch to see if that is an appropriate level for your child.
If there are any additional questions, please feel free to contact dybsainformation@gmail.com
The 2024 T-ball Season is just around the corner! The season will start on Monday, May 13th, with a Skills Night and then continue on Mondays and Wednesdays with games through June 26th. (Due to the holiday on Monday, May 27, and Wednesday, there will be no T-ball.)
The T-ball rosters and game schedule will be available in late April. If your child's team only has one or two coaches listed, please consider volunteering! You will make memories with your child(ren) that will last a lifetime.
Let's have a great season!
Bats, helmets, baseballs, and the tee area all provided by the league. If you would like to bring your own bat, please make sure that it is a T-ball marked bat. T-ball bats are the right weight for this age group so that they can develop good form on their swing.
Baseball hats and official team shirts will be coming within the first few weeks of the season. Until then, try to wear a shirt that is the color of your team.
Finally, please bring your glove and a water bottle to drink from in between innings!
Delano T-ball uses Mt. Olive Fields 1, 2, and 3 for their games. Field 1 is closest to the school. Field 2 is located closest to Spike's Feed and Supply and Field 3 is located by the light blue house on Railroad Ave.
